Music Licensing
Every song begins with a personal story. Sometimes that story finds a second life through film, television, documentaries, podcasts, advertising, or other creative work.
This page explains how music presented through Francisco Colón Studio may be considered for authorized licensing and collaboration.
Licensing Overview
Selected original recordings and compositions may be available for licensing, subject to written approval, rights verification, and mutually agreed terms.
Availability may differ by song, recording, project type, territory, length of use, distribution method, and other production requirements.
Potential Uses
Licensing inquiries may be considered for uses including:
- Film and television productions
- Documentaries and short films
- Podcasts and digital programs
- Advertising and branded content
- Online video and social-media productions
- Independent creative projects
- Educational and cultural presentations
Synchronization and Master Rights
Use of music in combination with visual media generally requires synchronization permission. Use of a specific recorded performance may also require permission for the master recording.
Approval for one right does not automatically grant the other. Each request will be reviewed according to the rights involved in the proposed use.
No Automatic License
The presence of music, lyrics, artwork, descriptions, or streaming links on this website does not grant permission to reproduce, edit, sample, synchronize, distribute, perform, publish, or commercially use any work.
A license is valid only when authorization has been provided in writing and all applicable terms have been accepted.
What to Include in an Inquiry
To help evaluate a licensing request, please include as much of the following information as possible:
- The title of the song or recording
- The name and nature of the project
- How the music would be used
- The anticipated duration of the use
- The intended platforms and distribution territory
- The proposed release date
- The production company or requesting party
- Available budget and licensing timeframe
Creative Collaborations
Inquiries involving original creative collaborations may also be considered when they align with the artistic direction and availability of Francisco Colón Studio.
Submission of an inquiry does not guarantee acceptance or participation.
Licensing Inquiries
Requests for synchronization, master-use licensing, permissions, or creative collaboration may be submitted through the Studio's Contact page.
Please do not use any material until written authorization has been received.
